Technical skills I learnt during my AS year...

what I learnt...

Different camera shots and angles to give an effect on the situation ...

- Close ups
- Medium long shots

 - Extreme close ups
 - Medium close up

- Long shots

- Also when filming by hand, to make sure the camera is steady when it needs to be and different angles to emphasise the situation or to give a perspective.

Using live type to create titles and credits...

Using Final Cut Pro to put our thriller opening together, without it, there would be no movie...

Editing was a big part of my AS year as it helped make our thriller movie come together, although it was hard to get used to final cut pro, once you've used it long enough, it becomes easier and easier making the process of editing shorter when putting our film together.

we also used final cut pro to help make our "flashback" seem more realistic..

As you can see the before and after pictures show how final cut pro helped to give an effect to the shot, making our flashback have a more different effect from the rest of the movie.

Other Editing techniques learnt..

- shot reverse shot

- 180 degree rule

- Action Match cut

Quark express

Quark express helped to put together a storyboard / plan which made it easier for us when filming as we had a step - by - step process which made our filming process more straightforward.
